Health and Fitness Top 2012 Trends
As the year 2012 draws to a close, we thought it the perfect time to review a list of the top health and fitness trends (according to us, no scientific survey involved!). Here’s the best (and the worst) of what we did to our bodies in the past year, all in the name of losing weight and getting in shape.
Diet Pills
Never ones to give up the chance to lose weight without having to work too hard for it, Americans were introduced to two new diet pills this year: Qsymia nd Belviq. While purporting to be the next miracle drugs to help people shed pounds, the jury is still out on the side effects (and there are bound to be some nasty ones – remember Phen-Fen?).
Fortunately, you can get the same effects without working too hard simply by scheduling a weekly FIT Bodywrap. The best part of a body wrap? No side effects. That’s right: zero side effects, because this is a non-prescription weight loss aid.
Raspberry Ketones
On the natural side of dietary supplements, this year’s biggest craze goes by the name “raspberry ketones”, knocking out last year’s biggie, acai. If you haven’t heard of this one, you must have lived most of 2012 under a rock somewhere.
Even the consumer’s favorite physician supports this new miracle berry product; the Dr. Oz website claims “Raspberry ketone is the primary aroma compound of red raspberries. This compound regulates adiponectin, a protein used by the body to regulate metabolism. Raspberry ketone causes the fat within your cells to get broken up more effectively, helping your body burn fat faster.”
This one’s probably not too bad, but then again, we still haven’t heard testimony from any real person who claims sustained weight loss with this supplement. Have you?
Social Media
Your newest, most supportive fitness buddy might have been social media. It’s the medium many of us used to find new diet and exercise plans and stay motivated through inspirational posts, quotes, stories and pictures.
Social media for health and fitness actually branched out from Facebook and Twitter last year, too. Newcomer Pinterest quickly became the venue of choice for many social media mavens wishing to find healthy recipes and pictures of beautiful people to provide motivation for our own fitness plans.
FIT® Bodywrap
Unlike the body wraps that involve strips of linen and mud from the European sea, these body wraps use Far Infrared Ray (FIR) technology to make your body sweat and melt away those extra pounds anywhere on your body. In addition to inches lost, you can leave a one-hour body wrap session and find the appearance of your cellulite greatly reduced and your skin much softer (because all that sweating detoxifies your body), as well as finding relief for various aches and pains. An effortless, yet highly effective, way to lose weight and feel great, FIT® Bodywraps could be the newest craze to hit the health and fitness scene not only in 2012, but on into 2013 and beyond.
What did you do over the past year in the name of health and fitness? Did your efforts work? If you’re tired of jumping on the bandwagon of some new miracle pill or diet, try a FIT® Bodywrap instead. They’re safe, produce no side effects, and really work to lose the extra inches around your middle and anywhere else!
